Regardless of where you stay when visiting South Luangwa National Park, you are guaranteed to have an incredible experience. However, spending a little extra and staying in a more upmarket lodge may make that experience even more special.

These lodges fit into our mid-budget category. Packages range from $510USD to $1396USD per person and packages are either 2 nights/3 days or 3 nights/4 days. Whether you want to stay longer or shorter, packages can be tailored to your exact requirements, 

Guests can expect a wonderful and authentic African bush experience. Wildlife Camp is known for its down-to-earth style and offer rustic chalets, secluded en-suite tented camps and a bush camp for overnight walking safaris. The restaurant overlooks a drinking-hole, which means you can sometimes share a drink with the local tower of giraffes!

Thornicroft is an intimate bush-style lodge set on the banks of the Luangwa River with spectacular views of the park.

Accommodation is in 9 En-suite River View Chalets with hot water and luxurious beds wrapped with walk-in mosquito nets. The chalets are spread out along the bank of the river and can accommodate two to three persons. Each chalet has mains electricity as well as solar power. The solar powers a fan, as well as lights. There is also a generator as a back-up.

The classically African thatched main lodge has a lounge area, dining room and bar. In between safaris, you may relax in our swimming pool, in the comfortable lounge area or at one of the many vantage points to look for wildlife along the Luangwa River.
