Hwange Bush Camp is situated in the Robins area of the park. Overlooking the Dolilo Vlei and nearby Dolilo pan, the 6 meru style tents are tastefully decorated, each with their own private en-suite bathroom with skylight roof tops. Throughout the camp the decor gives a rustic luxury feel, relax in the comfortable chairs and take in the African bush that surrounds you.

Bush Dinners

Delicious cuisine combined with exciting locations make for memorable experiences and Hwange Bush Camp does exactly that. The kitchen creates amazing meals, and all are cooked on wood burning stoves, from the fresh bread to all the main dishes. The bush dinners are a favourite to all those that stay here, sit under the stars and amongst the wild, surrounded by lanterns and listen to the night around you whilst you enjoy your dinner in one of the most incredible locations. It is a truly spectacular African bush experience and one to remember.

Activities

The Camp offers a number of activities to enjoy which include game drives, walking safaris or hours spent at the watering holes where you can spend your time watching the wildlife that descends on the area. You could start your day with a drive, and it could soon turn into you hopping out the vehicle and heading out into the bush following tracks of buffalo or lions that have been spotted. It’s a great experience being on foot and getting the chance to encounter these animals. You could even head to the Deteema Dam, G&T in hand and watch as the elephant come down for a drink.

Authentic Camp

Each tent is authentic and offers a high level of rustic luxury comfort with en-suite bathrooms. Hot water is provided in the buckets showers on request and the fans and lighting in the tents are all run on solar, 24 hours a day. The main area is the central point of the camp and guests can enjoy a drink and relax in the comfortable chairs, sit back and appreciate the bush around you in the open tents. Not far from here is the fire pit and a great place to enjoy stories from the guides and enjoy listening to their experiences.

  • Fantastic guiding and wildlife

    2 nights at Hwange bush camp was an absolute treat for myself and my brother – we only wish we could have stayed longer!
    Having lived in Zimbawe for some time, I wanted to stay somewhere where my brother could experience the beauty of Hwange and have a fighting chance of seeing some wildlife for his first visit to the region.   • Hwange at it’s best!

    We spent two nights at HBCamp with our family. The hosts could not have been more attentive and the guides were very knowledgeable and professional. Very thoughtfully laid out so as not to interfere with the animals at the waterhole, the camp is very comfortable and feels safe and homely. A great mix of a tented camp with great food and service but with the focus firmly on delivering an authentic wildlife experience. Superb and recommend it without hesitation!

  • Incredible safari experience!

    We had a phenomenal time at Hwange Bush Camp! We stayed for three nights, which was a perfect amount of time. Our guide, Petrus, and our tracker, Claw, were so knowledgable and friendly. We saw lions on every single drive! Not to mention a cheetah chasing and killing an impala. Incredible stuff.
