The accommodation at Mateti is high end and luxurious, decorated with warm colours, fitting in perfectly with the backdrop. If you want full privacy and seclusion there is the Matetsi River House, a 4 bedroom villa with its very own kitchen, indoor and outdoor living and dining areas and your very own private pool. You also get your own private vehicle complete with a guide and tracker. A private chef and butler add to this wonderful experience that is tailor made for each of its guests.

As well as getting the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent Victoria Falls guests have the wonderful opportunity of also getting the chance to explore the Matetsi Private Game Reserve. The guides will take you on an unforgettable journey, be in on foot, by vehicle or by boat or canoe. There are a number of activities to enjoy in house with lots of wildlife to see. The lodge also caters to families and children can enjoy their own activities or if you wish to leave them at the lodge whilst you head on an adventure or even to the spa, there are minders who will keep them entertained whilst you relax and make the most of the excursions.

    The superlatives just keep coming when talking about Matetsi. You become part of the Matetsi Family.The staff are friendly , thoughtful and anticipate your every need. You only need to express a preference once.You know everyone and they know you.
    The accommodation is a bungalow with a bath the size of a small pool, then there is your own plunge pool outside.

    Everything about our trip to Matetsi was special. Without exception the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the River House which is a beautiful property on the banks of the Zambezi. Our game drives were amazing, many thanks to Reuben and Gift. We would return in a heartbeat.

    Even after extensive travels all over Africa, Matetsi really stands out as a once in a lifetime experience. From the staff who know you by name, to the exquisitely designed rooms, to the privacy of your plunge pool to the perfect food, it is really the most romantic and beautiful place I have ever been. Every element of the design is just perfect, from the beautiful standing bathtub to the serene outdoor shower to the cozy room patio.
