Coral Lodge is situated in the Veranda District which is in Northern Mozambique. The Lodge is surrounded by mangroves and even has its very own sea lagoon. With a total of 10 villas, each blending in harmoniously with its surroundings, it offers comfort and luxury to guests, with a style that is very authentic. Relax and enjoy the natural landscape around or take advantage of the exciting activities the lodge has to offer. Why we love Coral Lodge!

Coral Lodge is a great piece of paradise. The lodge is set on a beautiful peninsula just off Ilha de Mozambique, with the best of both worlds, a breathtaking beach one side and a stunning lagoon and marshland on the other. The rooms are luxurious with all the mod-cons, beautiful views of the beach where you can capture the beautiful sunrise. Riccardo and Filipa are a fantastic management couple and will ensure you get the best experience when staying here. The boats, kayaks and snorkeling equipment are all brand new and in fantastic condition. The food is very tasty and complimented by a wonderful team of staff who always go the extra mile. I was also lucky to have great whale sightings too…the perfect addition to a wonderful stay.

The Staff

Most of the staff at Coral Lodge are employed locally and have been trained from scratch, they offer the highest standard of service and all do it with the biggest smiles on their faces. Nothing is too big or too small, they are friendly and welcoming and continue to ensure your stay is a comfortable and memorable one.

The Main Area

Built on an area of coral rock and with a deck that overlooks the beach, it is the focal point of the lodge and oozes charm and a relaxed atmosphere. Sit out on the deck with a delicious cocktail in hand and relish in the beauty that surrounds you. It is a peaceful and magical part of the world and you are in the perfect spot to enjoy a tranquil haven.

The Villas

There are 9 villas in total, 5 offer gorgeous views over the turquoise ocean and the other 4 sit along the lagoon, these are a little more private and you will encounter the most spectacular sunsets. Each villa has a large, open plan bedroom, complete with a lounge area. The decor is natural, but the fittings offer a ‘modern’ touch…without being too over the top. A wide veranda in front of the villas is the perfect spot to get comfortable in the sun loungers and enjoy some peace and quiet.

    We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Coral Lodge.
    The place is superb, a site of great beauty. The sea changes colours according to the tides, we never get tired of this postcard landscape. The feeling of being alone in the world, we had it several times during long walks on the beach. An immaculate beach, no waste. A dream.

    I have never stayed at a resort that came anywhere close to the matching the incredible experience that we had at Coral Lodge. White sand beaches, a spectacular property, cozy places to rest with views of the ocean stretching in every direction and sumptuously appointed cabins. Filipa was an incredibly attentive and thoughtful host who ensured that we had an incredible stay.

  • Stunning location, amazing service

    t was our first time in Mozambique and I have to say I felt not very welcome at the airport in Nampula, the officials do not give the impression to value tourist…But all that changed when we arrived at Coral Lodge, warm and friendly reception, the lodges are beautiful and tastefully decorated.
