Bomani Tented Lodge sits just outside Hwange National Park, in a quiet location and in a private concession so the lodge offers its guests exclusive and intimate safari experiences. The accommodation has up to 11 tents & chalets; including a family unit, the decor is simple yet tasteful, decorated with the true safari feel. The lodge is in a remote area with fantastic game viewing around, rustic, comfortable accommodation and incredibly attentive staff you will experience a top class and memorable safari experience.

Lodge Key Features

Horse Riding

The scenery around the area is perfect for horse-riding and it is an activity that not many lodges or camps offer and it’s a really different and exciting way to experience the wild. There are a number of activities that have been designed for riders, from experienced riders to beginners (no children under 7 however). You can enjoy a full day or just a couple of hours before stopping for a rest and sundowner, head out with the experienced guides and see the bush from a completely different angle.

Photographic Hides

For those keen photographers or even those just starting out and getting used to life behind the lens, the photographic hides at Bomani Tented Camp offer guests a wonderful opportunity get that perfect shot. Get comfortable and watch as the Ellies head down to the waterhole, you could sit and watch them for hours as they enjoy a playful morning or afternoon. It’s a wonderful way to spend some time near camp and whether you are a hardcore photographer or an amateur you will be sure to get some exciting photos.

Tailored Experiences

It’s great to be able to head on safari and not feel like you are on a time frame. At Bomani Tented Camp they allow for you to tailor your time around you. Rise with the sun and enjoy a cup of coffee in bed, brought to you by the very friendly team. Then head out on a safari or enjoy some time at the camp before venturing to the nearby village and immerse yourself with the culture. It is your experience and you can enjoy it just the way you wish to.

  • Very special place

    Bomani Tented Lodge is a very special place to visit. Our absolutely wonderful guide Pete took incredible care of us over our three day stay, looking after us from dawn to dusk and driving us around to see an incredible variety of wildlife, from elephants to giraffes, from impala to zebra. We were luckily enough to have three close encounters with lions, and were able to see a cheetah and her two cubs too.

  • In the presence of the wild

    The staff and experience at Bomani Tented Lodge was exceptional. Big Boy and the rest of the staff welcomed us graciously. We travelled on the Elephant Express train and had to stop to allow giraffes to cross the tracks. We also got our first views of the vast savannas from the train, including numerous baboons, elephants, and zebra. Once we arrived we were welcomed with drinks and dinner in a beautiful open air lodge.

  • Dont miss this experience.

    This tented camp was a wonderful experience. The tents were large with showers and looked out into the bush. The staff were so welcoming and helpful the food was nice with good service . And the location out in the bush with so much wildlife just outside your tent door. Our ranger was Eric he was great at tracking we were lucky and saw so much wildlife thanks to Erics tracking skills.
