Why we love Feitoria Boutique Hotel!

I love this little boutique hotel. It is beautifully designed and in a great location, perfect for watching the sun setting over the bay. The rooms are luxurious, and the food is excellent with a nice Portuguese and Mozambique influence. The lodge is also in a great spot for exploring all the culture and history that Ilha de Mozambique has to offer.

The Cuisine

Whilst you relax and enjoy your getaway the chefs are working on delicious meals that will continue to excite your taste buds. The cuisine is local and international and prepared to your liking, if you have anything you specifically like, the chefs will do everything they can to accommodate you. Colourful and exciting dishes that are beautifully prepared, you will always be looking forward to the next meal.

The Island & History

The island offers its very own charm and it is clear that the hotel has been inspired by the history of this unique place. The architecture hasn’t changed much since the 16th century and to date, they still continue to use the same methods, using coral stone and macuti as their building materials. As the island is relatively small you can get around by foot or rent a bike for the day and visit a number of wonderful historical sites along the way.

Views of the Bay

Quite possibly one of the most glorious views you will encounter, and so peaceful. The lovely boutique lodge has been designed beautifully and set in the perfect location. Sit by the pool or on the terrace and get lost in this stunning and natural piece of paradise. It is the perfect spot too for capturing those all-important sunsets right over the bay…you really won’t get tired of them.

    Our 5 nights at the Feitoria were pretty ideal. We had a beautiful and comfortable room, service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks on the terrace facing the setting sun delicious, as were the sumptuous breakfasts. Highly recommended!

    Physically weakened and mentally demoralized from the poor conditions of our stay at a terrible place in Memba, we arrived at Feitoria expecting it to be dreadful as well, but we couldn’t have been more wrong!   • Great stay in a beautiful hotel

    We spent 3 nights in the hotel and really enjoyed it. It is decorated beautifully throughout and the restaurant has a good selection at great prices. We travelled with our 10 month old baby who was made very welcome. On request the hotel provided a very comfortable cot with mosquito net for her. We will definitely come back.
