Why we love Azura Quilalea!

Now this is one of my favorite places in the world. I loved EVERYTHING about this place. Just to name a few…the rooms, the plunge pools, the views, the food, the service, the snorkeling (and epic diving off the beach), the fishing, the turtles swimming past my room and let’s not forget the scenic heli flight to get you there in the first place. The management couple run a fantastic ship and it is shown throughout your stay. This spot was place was everything and more #takemeback.

The Villa’s

Step into a haven of seclusion and relaxation and you are just a few steps from the white sandy beach. There are 9 gorgeous and spacious villas, with stylish decor that blends in perfectly with the island surroundings. The Kusi villas (4 of them) even come with their very own plunge pools. The honeymoon suite situated on a cliff-top offers some of the most incredible views over the Archipelago. Sip on cocktails and watch as the sun goes down or enjoy a private dinner on your very own deck, it is your very own private slice of heaven.

Experiences & Activities

If you enjoy being away from the outside world then Quilalea is the perfect destination for you. You can relish in some of the most incredible snorkelling and diving in the world when staying here as the reef has been very well protected. You can also enjoy getting to know your home away from home on a kayak, take one around the island and explore or walk along the beaches and watch the sea turtles nesting. No matter what you enjoy doing there is something here for everyone.

    Having spent many holidays in Mozambique where I met my lovely wife, she could not be with me to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary here as she passed away on the day of our 49th. We have visited many resorts in the world; Quilalea rates with the best. Will be back with our daughter and family

  • A week in Paradise

    We have recently returned from a week’s holiday at Azura Quilalea with our 2 children age 13 and 16. The island is idyllic with the most beautiful clear turquoise water surrounding it. We particularly liked the house reef so we could snorkel straight from the beach and it was amazing. We also took a boat trip to snorkel at a coral garden on the other side of the island which was really worth it.

An unforgettable helicopter transfer to the island and then a personal welcome by our hosts, Leon and Claudia.
