Lodge Key Features

Location

Just 30km off mainland lies rolling sand dunes and crystal waters, Bazaruto Island Resorts is possibly one of the most luxurious escapes in Mozambique. There is plenty to do and see here too so it’s a wonderful spot for the whole family to enjoy. Not only can you head out on a number of adventures on the island itself but there are reefs nearby, small islands to enjoy a day trip too and you can even get the opportunity to enjoy a swim with dolphins or experience the annual migration of the humpback whale (Jul-Oct). A stunning and natural location, it is untouched paradise.

Beach Picnics

The team organises a day out to remember, head over to one of the nearby beaches on the island and enjoy a delicious picnic with all the trimmings in total seclusion. On your way you can stop off at the local villages, dunes or at one of the bays and catch the dolphins as they swim by. Once you get to your spot, relax and sit under a shady tree, enjoy a swim in the bluest of waters and indulge in a delightful feast. You get this all to yourself and it is truly an experience you don’t want to miss out on.

Activities

Due to its incredible location on Bazaruto island there is nothing you cant do or enjoy when staying at Anantara Bazaruto. From fishing in the deepest of seas, to diving the gorgeous reefs nearby, day trips to the islands or driving across the main island to dune board on the other side. Explore the swamps and lakes and enjoy the beautiful flamingos in their natural habitat. Not only are there a number of things to enjoy away from the resort but you can also take part in tennis, bike rides, water-sports or appreciate a little birdwatching. There is something for the whole family to enjoy, you will have your days filled.

Client Reviews

  • Fabulous holiday

We had a fabulous stay in a beach pool villa right by the beautiful clear and calm sea. The staff were delightful and we were made very welcome. The food was very good, but the main restaurant was being refurbished during our stay. We very much hope to be back for a longer stay.
