The Eye (sleepout Deck)

A raised luxury star bed that is about 15 minutes’ drive from the main lodge allows you to experience the African bush in a private an intimate setting. As it is right near the waterhole this allows you to enjoy the animals up close. Situated on 2 levels there is a bathroom underneath and a queen bed up top. Enjoy incredible and memorable sunsets and sunrises in your very own little piece of heaven in the African Bush; its spectacular and something not to be missed when staying here.

Dining Experiences

There are a number of ways to enjoy dining at Elephants Eye and you will get to experience the real African hospitality by enjoying a Boma dinner, lit up by lanterns and a fire. Meals are served at a number of different locations around the lodge, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful African surroundings and enjoying their delicious cuisine with a different view each time; it all adds to the wonderful experience when staying at Elephants Eye.

The Chalets

The raised chalets sit within the trees, each facing the waterhole allowing for incredible views from high above. The verandas wrap around the rooms so offer panoramic views of the African bush around you, game viewing in your treehouse styled room is pretty spectacular from all angles.. The bedrooms are luxurious, spacious and comfortable with a bath inside and a shower outside, tea and coffee station a fireplace and fan for those warmer months.

  • Great rooms and very private

    Loved the design of the elevated rooms, dynamic tents with a fireplace and outside shower was a real pleasure, that did not leave a mark on the nature of the surroundings. Lovely outdoor boma where we had superb local cuisine with a great choice of wines.

  • Magical tree house and unforgettable safari

    I could not be happier with this place. The staff went above and beyond to make everything exceptional. Aaron, the manager, made sure we were always comfortable and answered all questions we had. Sipho, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable. Right from the start he sat down with us to plan what we wanted to do and what we wanted to see, and then made it happen. From following lions at night to seeing over 200 elephants bath and play in the mud, he did not dissapoint. Everyone was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the talks around the fire were exceptional.

  • What a treat!

    Do not make the same mistake we did…stay longer than two nights! We absolutely did not want to leave the magical place. The accommodations are stunning and overlook a water hole for great animal viewing during the day, and animal sounds at night. We were assigned a guide for the entire stay. Dumi built our stay around what most interested us making it very personal. We spent the entire day In Hwange National Park where we saw just about everything including two rhinos and a magnificent male lion up close and personal.
