As the lodge is close to the main town, they offer a day out into the district of Pemba on a 2 hour tour. Stop off at craft shops, head to one of the beaches, enjoy local restaurants as well as the market in the centre. It’s a historical district and is great to get out and learn a little more about the culture and history of the beautiful country.
Avani Pemba Beach Lodge offers an array of activities for the whole family to enjoy and as the time is your own you can do as much or as little as you wish. Sail to African paradise and take a swim in the Indian Ocean, snorkel, sunbathe and picnic. Enjoy some non-motorised watersports or head out for an angling adventure…the fishing around these areas is some of the best around.
Whether its classic dishes or exciting exotic surprises, the cuisine at Pemba Beach Lodge offers an array of delicious food for guests. The chef uses fresh flavours from around the area to create wonderful and memorable dishes, from its colourful breakfasts, picnic snacks and hearty dinners.
