Sabi Sands is arguably one of the most famous Kruger concessions, from the incredible density of wildlife to the beautiful lodges within. With a large lake within the concession and several rivers the animals often take haven in the quieter concessions where the bush is plentiful and water isn’t scarce. Safari drives and walks here are incredible the freedom of being in the concession allows for night drives and walks so you can explore the bush at your leisure and see the animals at any time of the day!

Each of the 8 suites are individually designed to the utmost luxury! With fine dining excellent service it is an exclusive experience at Chitwa Chitwa and the elegance of the rooms encompasses that. With their own sun decks overlooking the lake, plunge pools, indoor and outdoor showers and a fireplace for the chillier months! With an iPod docking station, put on your favourite tunes, grab a glass of wine and cosy up to a loved one as you watch the animals walk by your piece of paradise.

The lodge

The lodge itself has a variety of different amenities to make your stay even more perfect! From a library full of reference and fiction books, a gym (for those inclined!!), a beautiful pool and spa (for those not inclined!) to a curio shop. Between your activities exploring the wildlife the lodge fills you with delicious food and has all the activities on offer to pass the time between drives, whether you want to take a well-deserved siesta or continue your animal viewing experience!

  • Trip Of A Lifetime

    A safari in Africa was one of the first items on my Travel Bucket List, and it was one of the last ones to be completed. The wait was worth it. It was the best four days of travel of my life. After a two hour drive from the airport, we arrived just in time for the first afternoon game drive. Amazingly, we saw all of the Big Five on that first drive. The lodge itself was beautiful. The food was very good and twice during our four night stay there were Boma dinners.

  • Unbelievable honeymoon!

    We stayed 4 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was the most amazing experience. The lodge was pure luxury, and all the staff were so friendly and could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. I have to give a special mention to our guide Knowledge (who was very appropriately named!) who knew so much about the animals, and treated them with real respect which was very important to us.

  • Real luxury in Sabi Sands

    After 6 days of self driving in Kruger we had 3 days at Chitwa Chitwa as part of our wedding anniversary and what a time we had.
    Everything was truly breathtaking, the location, the rooms were beyond our wildest expectation, the service, the game drives, the food, all were perfect.
