We are very excited to be taking a force of feminine, adventure-driven women to South Africa and Zambia. Lead by travel writer, global photographer and adventurer Karen Loftus.

This trip will be taking place in 2020 (date TBC) through Johannesburg, South Africa, through South Luangwa, Zambia, ending in Victoria Falls, Zambia.

Mike Varndell

Mike was born in Zimbabwe but raised in Malawi having ventured across the globe working in the finance industry he realised he wanted a life of adventure. He threw in the towel in London and travelled across South America before the lure of home called and he moved back to Malawi. Realising a gap in the market he set up Malawian Style 8 years ago creating exciting adventures across the warm heart of Africa. The business has since grown and expanded to include Zambia, with some offsets in South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Mike has since hired a flourishing team of experts who he entrusts to sort out the details of the incredible trips we offer whilst he flies the Malawian flag across the world! With a keen passion of uniting like minds and showcasing this beautiful continent he continues to strive to get tourists to visit his home nation.

Chloe

Chloe is our marketing manager, hailing from Scotland she has swapped the snow for the sun and joined us in July 2017. She has a rich background in the industry starting out as a guide in South Africa and then worked in sales for the last 6 years. She has travelled Africa extensively from the jungles of the Congo to the plains of the Serengeti and now has found herself immersed in Zambia & Malawi. She is a keen explorer and has a firm love of the bush if you can’t reach her in the office she will most definitely be knee deep in elephant poop looking for her beloved dung beetles! Chloe started her life in girls school in Scotland set up to enable women to achieve an entrance into tertiary education, producing some of the Scotland’s first female university graduates and the first female lawyers and doctors. From this early strong positive female influence it has become her mission to strive to challenge the male dominated safari industry supporting other women in her industry and initiatives supporting women in the surrounding communities. She is a passionate and enthusiastic team player and is looking forward to breaking boundaries across the continent to put women on an equal playing field.
