Following two nights at Chinzombo you will move to Kakuli. Here you can listen to the bush orchestra from the comfort of your bed, watch the activity of the Luangwa River from your suite; bellowing hippos, acrobatic bee-eaters and elephants and giraffes wandering down to the river. Magic.

You will spend a further two nights at Chinzombo before taking to the skies and flying to Malawi for the final two nights of your honeymoon safari. Relax on the shores of Lake Malawi and take refuge from the sun in the crystal clear water of the lake, together.

Itinerary

Day 1 - 3

Chinzombo, South Luangwa

On arrival in Lilongwe, you will check in for the scheduled flight to Mfuwe, where you will be met by a driver from Time + Tide who will transfer you to South Luangwa National Park to stay at Chinzombo for the two nights.

This wildly luxurious camp retains its bush authenticity with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas that melt into the exquisitely tranquil riverside setting. Each villa offers panoramic views of the Luangwa River and the abundant wildlife that frequents its banks. 

 

Day 3 - 5

Kakuli, South Luangwa

Today you will have a game drive transfer to Kakuli where you will stay for the next 2 nights. 

Kakuli offers impressive vistas of the river’s many visitors below. Designed to celebrate the panoramic setting, the suites have a long, low profile and a bright, airy feel. Freshly redesigned in 2018, the suites offer comfort in all seasons by incorporating features such as a covered open-air lounge and indoor and outdoor showers.

Chinzombo, South Luangwa

Back to Chinzombo for two final nights of romance in the bush.

Day 7 - 9

Makokola Retreat, Lake Malawi

This morning you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport to take the scheduled flight to Lilongwe where you will be met by your private driver guide and transferred to Lake Malawi to stay at Makokola for the next two nights. 

Brilliantly green gardens reveal spacious beach villas and rooms perched along the shores of Southern Lake Malawi. This showpiece property captures the essence of African design, culture and tradition.

Day 09

Homeward bound

Your guide will meet you in Makokola Retreat and drive you back to Lilongwe International Airport.
