Embark on an 08-night journey enjoying the bush of South Luangwa and the beach of Lake Malawi. We have selected three amazing lodges/camps to make your honeymoon adventurous, romantic and memorable.
Upon arrival in Malawi, you will fly to Mfuwe, the gateway to South Luangwa. You will spend 5 nights in South Luangwa. Your first two nights will be spent at Kafunta, a classic safari lodge just outside the South Luangwa National Park which offers all the comforts and unrivalled game viewing.
From Kafunta you will head to their sister camp; Three Rivers Camp. The camp is approximately 2 hours from Kafunta, so it’s a very exciting drive deep into the bush.
After two nights at Three Rivers Camp, you will return to Kafunta for one night before flying to Malawi where you will stay on Mumbo Island for the final three nights of your trip.
On arrival in Lilongwe, you will check in for the scheduled flight to Mfuwe, where you will be met by a driver from The Bushcamp Company who will transfer you into South Luangwa National Park to stay at Kafunta River Lodge for the next 2 nights.
Kafunta River Lodge is a classic Zambian safari lodge and combines all the essentials for a great safari. Here you will find the rest and peace you need after an exciting day on safari.
Today you will have a game drive transfer to Three Rivers Camp where you will stay for the next 2 nights.
Three Rivers Camp is exquisitely intimate with only 5 spacious tents, elegantly decorated with natural materials and earthy hues. They have large gauzed windows embracing extensive views of the Luangwa River and the nearby lagoon. Each tent has its own wooden deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the surrounding vistas.
Today you will have a game drive transfer back to the main lodge for the night.
This morning you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport to take the scheduled flight to Lilongwe Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to Cape Maclear where you will have a boat transfer to Mumbo Island to stay for the next 3 nights.
Mumbo Island is only 1km in diameter and has never been populated so it remains in a pristine, natural state. Kayak Africa run Mumbo as an entirely off-grid, green camp so that it remains as unspoilt and perfect as it has been forever.
Today you will be transferred to Lilongwe Airport, where you will check in for your international flight home. We hope you enjoyed your trip!
