Today you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport to take a scheduled flight to Lusaka where you will check in for your onward international flight. We hope you enjoyed your stay!
Embark on a 14-day excursion of three of Zambia’s great parks; Kafue, Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa.
The adventure begins in Kafue, where you will stay at Ila Safari Lodge. The park is named after the Kafue River. The river runs through the park and stretches over three provinces: North Western, Central and Southern. Surrounding the area are eight game management areas which provide a buffer zone for the park’s wildlife. Kafue makes a wonderfully off-beat section to a Zambian trip, or a new destination to explore for repeat visitors to the country.
Following three nights in Kafue National Park, you will fly to The Lower Zambezi where you will spend 4 nights at Royal Zambezi Lodge.
The Lower Zambezi is without doubt one of Africa’s most beautiful parks. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big Zambia parks but the opportunities to get close to the meandering game are remarkable and you can spot four of the big five (rhino absent) making the park a great wildlife destination.
It’s now time to head to South Luangwa National Park, Zambia’s premier wildlife destination. You will spend 7 nights in South Luangwa at three different lodges; Nkwali, Nsefu and Luangwa River Camp.
The park is one of the best in Zambia, if not Africa, for scenery, variety and density of animals. The Luangwa River is the most intact major river system in Africa and is the life-blood of this park. The park hosts a wide variety of wildlife, birds and vegetation.
On arrival in Lusaka, you will have a road transfer to Kafue National Park to stay at Ila Lodge for the next 3 nights.
The lodge is located on the banks of the mighty Kafue River in an area of abundant wildlife and boasts 180-degree views out across the water. The central boma is best described by the phrase ‘eco-friendly meets dynamic design’ and is the showpiece of the property.
This morning you will have a road transfer to Lusaka Airport, where you will check in for your scheduled flight to the Lower Zambezi. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to stay at the Royal Zambezi Lodge for the next 4 nights.
Royal Zambezi Lodge is a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort in a completely unspoiled bush environment. Offering king-size beds in large, fully netted, canvas tents under thatched canopies, comfortable sofas in front of roaring open fires and airy verandahs, the lodge is a luxurious base from which to explore this beautiful area.
This morning you will be transferred through the park to Jeki airstrip to check in for the scheduled flight to Mfuwe, where you will be met by a driver from Robin Pope Safaris who will transfer you to South Luangwa National Park to stay at Nkwali for the next 3 nights.
Nkwali is located on the banks of the Luangwa on a magnificent meander in the river overlooking the National Park where leopards roam along the bank and can often be spotted from camp.
Today you will have a game drive transfer to Nsefu Camp where you will stay for the next 2 nights.
Situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector on a magnificent meander on the Luangwa River across which elephants often cross lies the historic camp Nsefu.
Today you will have a game drive transfer to Luangwa River Camp where you will spend 2 nights.
Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa. This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp.
