Start your new chapter together with an adventure to remember

Embark on a 12-day romantic adventure of the bush of South Luangwa and the beach of Lake Malawi.

South Luangwa is the best place to see wildlife in Zambia and this is where the adventure begins. For your first three nights, you will stay at Nkwali. Nkwali offers understated elegance, seclusion and superb service.

Your next two nights will be spent at Nsefu. Situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector on a magnificent meander on the Luangwa River across which elephants often cross lies the historic camp Nsefu.

From Nsefu you will go to Luangwa River Camp. This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp. This camp is the perfect place to end your romantic adventure.

To end this romantic excursion you will spend four nights at Blue Zebra on Nankoma Island. The lodge is charming and has a laidback atmosphere.

Itinerary

Day 1 - 4

On arrival in Lilongwe, you will check in for the scheduled flight to Mfuwe, where you will be met by a driver from Robin Pope Safaris who will transfer you into South Luangwa National Park to stay at Tena Tena for the next 3 nights.

Tena Tena was the first camp Robin Pope opened, it is a perfect mix of comfort and bush! There is a firm focus on walking safaris at Tena Tena, it has developed a fantastic reputation and boasts a strong record of return customers. Thanks to the abundant wildlife in the area and the location of the camp, next to a mahogany grove, there are incredible photographic opportunities.

Day 4 - 7

Today you will have a game drive transfer to Nsolo where you will stay for the next 2 nights. On your third night, you will have a sleepout under the stars! accompanied by an armed scout you will have ‘hammock’ beds set up in a riverbed, after dinner you will be escorted to the site where you can settle in for a night of constellation spotting and listening to the nocturnal animals as they awaken around you!

Day 7 - 9

This morning you will have a game drive transfer to Luwi to spend the next 2 nights.

The camp is based next to a grove of stunning mahogany trees near a flood plain. It is an exclusive camp, there are just five thatched chalets, each hidden among the trees and unique in its own way. They are basic yet comfortable with open en-suite bathrooms and a walk in hot water shower and flushing toilet.

The camp has a brilliant hippo hide, allowing you to get up and close to the action around camp. During the dry season, you can have a sleep-out under the stars! A truly magical experience.

Day 9 -13

This morning you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport to take the scheduled flight to Lilongwe where you will be met by your private driver guide and transferred to Lake Malawi to Cape Maclear, where you will stay at Pumulani for the next 4 nights.

Situated on the west side of the Nankumba Peninsula on the Southern end of Lake Malawi you can find Pumulani subtly nestled in the lush hills amongst the trees and craggy outcrops.

Pumulani offers the perfect mix for a memorable holiday. Enjoy being active or simply relax in the beautiful and tranquil scenery.

Day 13

Today you will be transferred to Lilongwe Airport to check in for your international flight home. We hope you enjoyed your trip!
