Itinerary

Day 1 - 4

The River Club, Livingstone

The River Club is a small elegant lodge situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River on the Zambian side and just 18km upstream from magnificent Victoria Falls. An elegant and gracious retreat, each chalet overlooks the river with beautiful views.

Accommodation is in 10 luxurious cottages including one family room. The rooms are spread out amongst the riverine vegetation, and all have en-suite bathrooms, most being split-level. Their originality stems from the fact that one side is completely open to the river so that there is an uninterrupted vista of the Zambezi and its far bank from both bed and bath.

Day 4 - 7

Chiawa, Lower Zambezi

Chiawa Camp is luxurious, friendly and relaxed. It has a superb situation in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, overlooking the mighty river. Sitting in camp there is always something to see, from hippo splashing in the water to elephant drinking or buffalo grazing on the grassy islands.

Chiawa has nine luxurious tents on raised wooden decks overlooking the water. Inside they are large and fabulous, offering double or twin beds with fresh linens standing on polished wooden floors, beautifully carved furniture and animal checklists.

Day 7 - 9

Chindeni, South Luangwa

In an enviable location on the edge of a lagoon where hippo chortle and elephant wallow, stands Chindeni – undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tented camps in the South Luangwa.

At Chindeni you can combine that thrill with style and comfort in one of its four opulent tents. Gaze out from your private veranda onto the lagoon which attracts birds and animals from miles around.

The exquisite setting of Chindeni makes it a winner to visit throughout all the months that it’s open.

Day 9 - 11

Zungulila, South Luangwa

Zungulila is a charming camp that embodies the essence of old Africa and a bygone era, with breathtaking views onto the Kapamba river and an expansive plain where natural springs attract huge herds of game. Zungulila is eminently peaceful, and you may be tempted to stay forever!

If you long to explore Africa as it used to be, then come to Zungulila. Our expert guides will lead you on foot through some of the park’s most untouched wilderness, where large herds of buffalo roam the grassy plains and thirsty elephants come to drink at the springs and along the river.

Day 11 - 14

Kaya Mawa, Lake Malawi

Kaya Mawa is an intimate, beautifully designed lodge on a lovely beach on the tiny Likoma Island, situated in the middle of Lake Malawi. It is deemed to be one of the most isolated and unique destinations in Malawi, perfect for families or honeymooners!

The island features stunning white sandy beaches, lush vegetation, Baobab tree forests and Mango trees. Likoma is inhabited by approx. 9000 people, who will provide you with the warmest welcome, as you stroll through the villages.
