A tour combining South Luangwa & Lake Malawi

This tour combines the incredible South Luangwa and the beautiful Lake Malawi. You will stay at two of South Luangwa’s finest camps; Chinzombo and Kakuli. At Chinzombo you will stay in complete luxury with your own private pool and stunning view of the surrounding plain. Kakuli is one of the best camps in the South Luangwa for viewing the immensely beautiful and iconic carmine bee-eaters.

From South Luangwa, you will fly to Lilongwe where you will be transferred by car to Blue Zebra. Enjoy sundowners by the infinity pool, kayak round the exotic island and most of all enjoy luxury in complete paradise; from the animals and birds along exploration trail to the crystal-clear lake, from the incredible food and friendly service to the sound of the waves as you fall asleep.

Day 1 - 4

Chinzombo, South Luangwa

This wildly luxurious camp retains its bush authenticity with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas that melt into the exquisitely tranquil riverside setting. Each villa offers panoramic views of the Luangwa River and the abundant wildlife that frequents its banks. Sprawling, ancient shade trees and private plunge pools offer comfort and relaxation for guests staying in any one of the six stunning villas.

Venture into one of the most game rich areas of the national park with our award-winning guiding team. The South Luangwa is renowned for its world-class predator action, with especially strong sightings of the elusive leopard. Explore the region’s diverse habitats with game drives, safari walks and boat cruises (seasonal).

Day 4 - 7

Kakuli, South Luangwa

Perched high above the Luangwa River, Kakuli Camp offers impressive vistas of the river’s many visitors below. Designed to celebrate the panoramic scenery, a stay at Kakuli is a truly awe-inspiring experience.

Freshly redesigned in 2018, the suites offer comfort in all seasons, making it the hidden gem of our Secret Season. They are thoughtfully appointed to ensure every guest enjoys their experience. A two bedroom, two bathroom family suite is perfect for friends and families creating lifelong memories together.

The area is renowned for some of the best game viewing opportunities in Zambia with resident prides of lion, leopards and other hidden wonders.

Day 7 - 10

Blue Zebra, Lake Malawi

Located in the Central Region of Malawi and just a 2-hour journey from Lilongwe, The Blue Zebra Island Lodge is situated in the Lake Malawi National Park on Nankoma Island, which forms part of the Marelli Island Archipelago, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Blue Zebra Island Lodge offers 9 exclusive tented en-suite chalets each overlooking the lake with some of the chalets boasting private lake access from where one can discover the dazzling array of fish in crystal clear waters.

Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the full board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that inhabit every inch of the coastline.

Day 11

Homeward bound

Alas, the tour is over. We will transfer you to Lilongwe International Airport for your onward journey.
