Amanzi is located on the banks of the Ngwenya channel and looks across the Zambezi River giving guests the prime spot with views of wildlife that inhabit the area from the camps very own sun deck. As it is one of the smaller camps around the area you get the feeling of a more intimate Safari experience. It’s rustic yet luxurious with charismatic charm. The camp offers a range of activities to its guests including; canoeing, freshwater fishing (try your hand at catching Africa’s formidable tigerfish) boating Safari’s. There truly is something for everyone.

Luxury Tents

The camp has 4 traditional, luxurious safari tents, each with their own balcony and views of the channel. This allows guests to enjoy private viewing of the wildlife that frequent the area in private. There is also a family unit available with two tents, allowing for a two-bedroom, two bathroom – perfect for families with young children.

Fine Cuisine

The camp prides themselves on their cuisine, the finest food and a menu designed by their very talented chef. A full continental breakfast, lunch buffet, afternoon tea full of exciting and delicious treats and ending the day with a 3-course plated dinner and some delicious wines.

Activities on the river

Not only can you enjoy a safari drive at Amanzi but the camp has a number of other activities should you wish to try something different. You can explore the area and enjoy the wildlife not just by road but boat or foot and for those keen fishermen, there is the opportunity to catch tigerfish between late August to mid-November (catch and release of course). The river guides have great knowledge of the river itself so they will be sure to take you to all the favourite spots. For the ultimate unique experience, you can also explore the park by canoe, each trip is lead by the experienced guides who have knowledge of the land animals, birds, plants and water animals too.
