Christopher Clark is a luxurious intimate camp with just 4 tents on raised wooden walkways. With great views of the river and a well-stocked bar, it is, much like its sister camp (Daniel Walker), a great place to spend some time watching what animals are around camp. With plunge pools and modern rooms, you can remain in camp to enjoy it whist the wildlife passes your doorstep.

A slightly more affordable option than the highflying sister camp, Sausage Tree next door but offers a similar standard with amazing villas, plunge pools, great food and a perfect private camp location for groups/ families. Relaxing Rooms

The four rooms at Christopher Clark all have their own plunge pools and river views, it is the perfect place to relax between activities. The room has a private deck whereby you will find a plunge pool overlooking the river. During the day this is open, at night it is shut for security but it makes a good spot to spend a lazy afternoon taking in the wonders of the bush.

Birding Brilliance

The birding here is exceptional, take a canoeing safari down the Chifungulu Channel where you can spot all the water birds as well as many others. Due to the low volume of tourists and the nature of a water activity you can get up close to the birds without disturbing them. Watch as kingfishers dart in and out of the water, goliath herons stalk the fish and beautiful weavers build their nests at the water edges. Amazing.

Splendid Staff

The staff here are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, from the ever present bartender of an ever full bar to the knowledgeable waiters who bring the delicious food. The guides here switch between their sister camp Daniel Walker so the standard is of a high nature and all are exceptional in spotting nature and entertaining at drinks stops.

True African experienceI am a local Zambian and recently visited Potato Bush with a group of overseas friends. I have visited the camp a number of times with my family and felt it long over due to sit down and write my thoughts. During my life in Africa I have visited a number of places and to me there is know better place to be than Potato Bush or Sausage Tree.The location of the camps on the Zambezi river are hard to beat being set in the Lower Zambezi National Park. The rooms are extremely spacious and luxurious, laundry is done daily and it will be hard to find a camp with staff so friendly and so experienced in their jobs. The food is five star and during our trip our guides Charles and Ali took amazing care of us.Rob G
Trip Of A Life Time!…This was my 2nd trip to Christopher Clark following my first trip in October 2016 when we came with my wife and 2 young daughters (3 and 5 at the time). This year was a ‘boys’ fishing trip where we spent 5 days combining fishing and game drives. I was blown away by our first experience back in 2016 and the trip this October simply served to confirm the quality and high standards of this camp in every respect. Potato Bush strikes a perfect balance, authentic rustic African safari and high end simplistic luxury. Spacious accommodation with own private plunge pool, an intimate dining and bar area with a great camp side fire area giving that authentic sense of being in the African Bush.Swisstraveller03
