Rooms
Inspired by the stunning surroundings the rooms are all built like a nest up in the tree canopy! With thatched walls you can snuggle up in your very own birdhouse with views across the plains! The design makes you feel like Tarzan of the jungle or as if you are in a raised hide, allowing for prime wildlife viewing. Of course this is a bucket list experience for birders! We love the unusual concept, making the wilderness feel even more wild!
Location
The Kafue National Park is vastly unknown which given its size and numerous inhabitants seems crazy! That being said there are only a few lodges in prime spots which makes it the perfect place to have an off the beaten track adventure and see some incredible wildlife all to yourself! The Busanga Plains are a vast open network of floodplains which can give some incredible sunset shots with the animal silhouettes black against the fiery sunset colours or emerging from misty winter mornings from the boat! The birdlife is out of this world and those looking for unusual species should flock here!
Eco Friendly
Just like their other properties the game drive vehicles here are electric and solar powered. The magic of a silent drive as you creep up on unaware herds of antelope just as a leopard would, watching animal interactions almost invisible to the surrounding game! Not only does this enhance your experience, not startling any birds as you move closer to a sighting, but also it reduces your carbon footprint. If being on safari teaches you anything it’s the magic of seeing animals in their natural habitat and the importance of conserving them and the environment they live in.
