The Royal Chundu has not one, but two Lodges, River Lodge and Island Lodge. River Lodge is the larger of the two with ten suites. The Rooms are private and situated right on the riverfront and you can enjoy the spectacular views across the Zambezi form your very own balcony. The rooms’ furnishings fit in beautifully with the natural surroundings, they are spacious and comfortable and you feel right at home.

Island Lodge has 4 villas and offers a more exclusive experience and is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. You arrive on the island by boat and you immediately get a sense of privacy and peacefulness. Each room has its own private deck which overlooks the river. The bathtub sits right on the deck, relax and unwind with a glass of bubbles and enjoy the breath-taking views.

The cuisine at The Royal Chundu is outstanding, they are creative with their dishes and infuse a lot of Zambian flavours into the food. The Chef has created a mouth-watering menu and uses local ingredients from the land around them. Freshly sourced from farms within a 3km radius of the Lodge, it is great to see them supporting their local community. Dining here is an experience on its own, with delicious food and beautiful views. Not only can you enjoy traditional evenings with local dancers and drumming as entertainment, but you can enjoy private dining in the comfort of your very own suite or even organise a picnic for two (weather permitting of course).
