Lodge Key Features

Luxurious Accommodation

The accommodation alone makes for an unforgettable experience. The tents are luxurious without being too pretentious. The decking around each tent and your own private plunge pool allows you to watch and enjoy the resident hippo, elephant and other wildlife wandering down to the river whilst you’re kept cool and relaxed. With indoor and outdoor bathrooms you can continue your sightseeing even in the shower! The views are fantastic and the bed is massive, with a well stocked mini bar you may be forgiven for just watching the wildlife from your room!

Delicious Food

The cuisine at Anabezi just like its sister camp (Amanzi) is outstanding. Always looking forward to the next meal, snack or tea break. They offer a variety of exciting dishes and are very accommodating to those tricky dietary requirements; they cater for everyone. The chefs know how to put on a good spread and will make sure that you keep those bellies full throughout your stay.

A Lasting Safari Experience

Anabezi offers spectacular game-viewing and their guides are friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. If it’s a boating safari or game drive, they will be sure to make your experience memorable. Enjoy a night drive and they will do everything they can to find you the elusive cats, leopard, civet and genet. With their experience, they will introduce you to all the animals in the bush and along the river banks. They make the experiences during your stay very memorable, personable and enjoyable.

Client Reviews

  • Outstanding safari experience

Anabezi lodge is utterly delightful, they think of everything to make your stay perfect. The tented rooms along a raised walkway are magnificent and each has a terrace overlooking the Zambezi so you can watch hippos from your private plunge pool.
Early morning and evening game drives were so exciting with our brilliant guide, Robert, who spotted things long before us and then drove to the perfect site to see lions, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo and even one night, a leopard.

  • Luxury accommodation in the Zambezi Bush

This was our first visit to Anabezi, although our second trip to The Lower Zambezi. Having left South Luangwa earlier in the day we arrived at Jeki airstrip about 1.30 mins flight from Mwfue. We had spent a glorious 9 nights in the South Luangwa Valley and we were hoping to continue the remainder of our trip at this incredibly high level. Our guide – Gilbert met us at Jeki, it was about an hour’s drive to the camp, on arrival there we were met by Sam the camp manager, (very helpful) who showed us around and we completed the arrival paperwork. & he showed us to our tent, it was lovely, very large in comparison to our previous small bush camp.

  • Wonderful experience; breathtakingly beautiful!

had a marvelous stay at Anabezi. I was greeeted at Jeki Airstrip by Robert, who served as my guide for the duration of my stay. He’s a first-rate guide with 22 years of experience. Enjoyed the drives as well as a walking safari, which I’d highly recommend. I learned a lot from the walking safari about the animals (amazing what you can learn by studying dung!) as well as the villages that used to be in the park. We came across tiny shards of pottery and old pieces of metal in a couple places, which led to a great conversation about the people who used to live there. A highlight of my stay was a canoe ride down the Zambezi, where I saw hippos and a crocodile in the river, as well as elephants, water buck, and lots of birds along the way.
