Latitude 15
Latitude 15 is a boutique hotel on the outskirts of Lusaka. Around a 30-minute drive from the airport, you will find this funky, beautiful hotel. Set in lush gardens, there are two sides to the hotel: the old and new, with the new being called ‘the Other Side’.
Observe the intricate modern art all over the hotel, take time to get lost in the maze of corridors and appreciate all the quirky details within. With great food and cocktails, you will find most of the younger local Lusaka crowd here over the weekend.
Why we love Latitude 15!
The service and attention to detail here was fantastic, each room is unique and so beautifully decorated it is well worth getting lost around the grounds and treating yourself to an art exhibition walk.

The star ratings are based on a variety of different criteria.
Namely it is a comparative aspect against the other lodges in this country and/or area. We like to think of this rating as a mix of the accommodation (please do remember just because the rating is lower doesn’t mean it is a bad lodge more that it maybe more of a rustic nature), guiding and wildlife in the area, food, safety and general vibe.
The lower ratings tend to either be due to being a rustic lodge or being in e.g a busy area of the park. This should be used as a general guide but please do contact us for more detail or check out the reasons why we love these lodges.

Rooms
Each room here is slightly different from the next, from the standard rooms to the larger suites each has been tastefully decorated but is extremely cosy and comfortable. With modern furnishings and clean open shapes you could easily spend a few hours in here daydreaming about your onward adventure. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with its own bath and shower, a rare luxury and the perfect way to unwind from a long flight.
Food/vibe
The food here is delicious and well-priced, with two restaurants and bars to choose from repeat clients can always enjoy something new! Their hip new restaurant ‘the Other Side’ has a great vibe with live music played on Wednesdays and Fridays and is perfect for friends travelling together who want to see a little of what Lusaka has to offer at the weekend. Whilst the original restaurant is perfect for those who want a little quieter or romantic dinner with tables both inside and out. We really enjoyed our last meal here and were pleasantly surprised with the wines and cocktails on offer, which differ between the bars, we were also pleasantly surprised by the very good prices!
The hotel
You can easily whistle away a few hours checking out all the artwork and beautiful furnishings round the hotel. Alternatively sampling the different cocktails in each of the bars. However if you are looking for more to do the hotel has two swimming pools, a spa and gym for those who either want to totally relax or remain a little more active!
Client Reviews
- My favorite OasisMy favorite place to stay in Lusaka–the staff are friendly, informative and helpful. The options for social space are one of the strengths of Latitude 15, including both indoor and outdoor visiting/meeting spaces for social or business purposes.
